The building is not at all well maintained and the leasing office will do absolutely nothing to help you. It has been four months since I moved out of the apartment due to terribly loud neighbors and rodent issues, and I have yet to receive my security deposit back. They never return their calls and don't respond to emails. Do not move here. Avoid at all cost.

Let me share some experience with the leasing office (HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED this place and NOT WORTH IT!!!)
Time line:
Mid Oct. : receive a call from 1550 on the Charles leasing office.
Mid Dec. : Terminate date, I visited the leasing office.
Definitely follow the 60-days notice rule.
Before my departure, the leasing office contacted me 60 days prior to the termination date of the lease, inquiring about my intention to end the agreement. During this conversation, I explicitly communicated my... desire to terminate the lease. The leasing office representative acknowledged my request and provided specific instructions on how to prepare my room for the check-out process. (I have a call history on my phone)
However, upon the designated end date, when I arrived at the office to inform them that I had cleaned my room and removed all my belongings, I was informed by the leasing office representative that there was no record of my lease termination request. As a result, they stated their intention to charge me an additional 2-month rent fee for not providing a 60-day notice.
Furthermore, despite their claim of having a comprehensive record of everything, they surprisingly lacked documentation regarding the call made to me regarding the lease termination. This discrepancy is quite perplexing and raises concerns about the consistency and accuracy of their records.
The management team must take action to prevent such incidents from recurring. It's evident that the representative failed to fulfill their responsibilities by not properly documenting my request, resulting in unforeseen consequences that I now have to bear.

There are RATS under our deck. We see them right outside our window. Management left one trap 3 weeks ago and has failed to communicate about additional remediation efforts. It is 24/7 stress for us and our dogs. We want OUT and can't even get an email response. If you are expecting a peaceful, safe, quality experience - this is not for you. If you are hoping for competence and responsiveness, DO NOT MOVE HERE.
Trash rooms are truly vile for days on end. Dogs run around the courtyard off-leash... at all hours of the day. Children are left unsupervised running through lobby and lounge areas. Cars are constantly parked improperly in the garage and on the street.

There is not enough parking available for the community, resulting in a waitlist for the garage parking and thus people getting their cars towed every night. If you plan to bring a car do not expect to be able to park at home.
This building is very overpriced for its location, with no pool or amenities that most buildings include at this price point. It is a 20 minute walk to the commuter rail. You can find more convenient access to Boston with other similarly priced apartments that are just a... 5 minute walk to the T. Parking has been a nightmare here and $250 a month is ridiculous for a location that requires a car to live. Apartments in Back Bay charge $300 for parking and this place is in Brighton, a 25 minute walk to Allston and 40 min to the Green Line.
There is no safe way to cross Soldier’s Field Road, so no access to the River trail as promised on the website. Tons of construction going on on the street as well.
